*Soil & Water: Prefers consistently moist, well draining, rich soil and high humidity

HOW TO HARVEST LEMONGRASS
*Wait until the plant is at lease 1 foot tall.
*Select stalks that are roughly 1/2 inch to 1 inch thick.
*Harvest during growing season.
*Cut the stalk cleanly at the very base with a sharp knife.
*Slice of the grassy tops and use the 6 to 8 inches of the thick stalk
PREPARING THE STALKS
*Peel layers and stop when you reach the tender pale green or white core. Mince this soft core for cooking, or bruise the whole steak to infuse soups and teas
